The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is one of 13 comprehensive universities in the University of Wisconsin System, UW-Platteville is located in Platteville, a community of 10,000 situated about 70 miles southwest of Madison, 15 miles east of the Mississippi River, and just a few miles north of the Illinois state line. The University enrolls approximately 6600 undergraduate and 240 graduate students pursuing degrees in agriculture, the arts and sciences, business, criminal justice, education, engineering and technology management.
