Mercy College Mission Statement Mercy College is committed to providing motivated students the opportunity to transform their lives through higher education by offering liberal arts and professional programs in personalized and high quality learning environments, thus preparing students to embark on rewarding careers, to continue learning throughout their lives and to act ethically and responsibly in a changing world.

About Mercy Mercy College is a New York metropolitan area college of nearly 10,000 students from all walks of life studying at 5 campuses and a robust online campus. The main campus is in Dobbs Ferry, and branch campuses are in the Bronx, Manhattan, White Plains and Yorktown. Our campuses are close to a network of highways and community trains and span suburban settings and urban settings. Our Dobbs Ferry campus is very scenic and overlooks the Hudson River. The faculty, staff and students come from diverse backgrounds and help to maintain a really engaged community. Consider joining us! Academics Today we offer a quality liberal arts undergraduate education as well as master's degree programs in several professional areas -- health professions, business, counseling/psychology, and teacher training -- to students during the day, evenings, weekends, and online, so that they can fit our rigorous education into their lives. We offer tremendous financial support, so that the cost of college is not a barrier to success; and we offer learning support, access to robust technology and counseling - academic, career and personal - to help our students achieve the level of success they dream about. Our student body is primarily commuter students, whose overriding similarity is that they pursue their dream of higher education while continuing to work and support families. They are overwhelmingly the first in their families to achieve a college education, and they are African American, Asian, Caucasian, Latino, ranging in age from 18 to 80, with the average age of undergraduates being 27. The faculty that makes this remarkable transformation possible most often describes itself as a "teaching faculty," dedicated to the scholarship of teaching. Our faculty travel to all the campuses, so that we are able to maintain the quality of teaching, small classes and personal interaction that lead to student success. Mercy College offers graduate and undergraduate degrees targeting in-demand career fields and designed for employment opportunities. Mercy has flexible course schedules, small classes and 5 campuses in the greater NY area. Mercy College is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of College and Secondary Schools, and registered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York. Employment Mercy College prides itself in being an Equal Opportunity Employer. Mercy College provides supportive environment for all employees to succeed while offering challenging, rewarding, and upwardly mobile career opportunities to build a career in terms of work experience and academic studies.
