The event marks Dr. Thomas A. Isekenegbe’s First Address to the College’s Faculty and Staff
What: The 56th Fall Convocation of Bronx Community College. Dr. Thomas A. Isekenegbe, the newly installed sixth president of BCC, will outline his vision for transforming the campus climate, increasing graduation rates and forming a closer alliance with BCC’s neighbors in the borough. He will be introduced by Dr. James B. Milliken, Chancellor of The City University of New York.
President Isekenegbe comes to BCC with 30 years of experience in higher education, most recently as president of Cumberland County College, a community college located in Vineland, N.J., where he was a leader in developing high-quality academic programs.
A native of Nigeria, Dr. Isekenegbe is believed to be the first African-born president in CUNY history .
