Hillary Clinton won Washington, D.C. in yesterday's presidential primaries and has exceeded the number of delegates needed for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination. Clinton now has a combined total of 2,800 pledged delegates and superdelegates. The number needed for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination is 2,383. On the Republican Party’s side, Donald Trump has a total of 1,542 delegates. The number needed for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination is 1,237.

Hillary Clinton won Washington, D.C. in yesterday's presidential primaries and has exceeded the number of delegates needed for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.

According to AP, Clinton won 16 delegates yesterday.  Her opponent for the nomination, Bernie Sanders, won 4.  Clinton now has a combined total of 2,800 pledged delegates and superdelegates.  Sanders has a combined total of 1,881 pledged delegates and superdelegates.  The number needed for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination is 2,383.

On the Republican Party’s side, Donald Trump has a total of 1,542 delegates.  The number needed for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination is 1,237.

As of this article, Sanders has not suspended his campaign.  Clinton and Trump are currently being called the likely presidential nominees for their respective parties.
