Rumors have been swirling around Hamilton The Musical coming to a theater near you in the near future. While the musical is coming it, may not be in the way we all originally thought. The original cast including Lin-Manuel Miranda will be reprising their roles in a movie feature.
Miranda revealed that in June 2016 his last two Broadway performances were recorded, and while they did not know at the time what they were going to with the footage, it is likely that the recordings will be formatted for the big screen.
“Hamilton” a hip hop musical about one of our founding fathers Alexander Hamilton became a Broadway sensation in 2016 winning several TONY Awards including Best Musical.
