Event To Take Place November 15

Lehman College is hosting a reading and lecture on Dominican Author José Alcántara Almánzar. The event will focus on his new collection of short stories titled “Where the Dream Ends.”

This event will take place in Lehman’s Music Building on Thursday November 15 at 2:00 p.m. ET, is admission free and open to the public. The Q&A is being led by Lizabeth Paravisini-Gebert who translated and edited Alcántara Almánzar’s book.

José Alcántara Almánzar’s career has spanned nearly 50 years with over 20 books, including fiction, essays, criticism and short stories that have been translated in multiple languages including English, French, German, Italian, and Icelandic.

Lehman College’s School of Arts and Humanities and Department of Latin American and Latino Studies are sponsoring the event.
