Lisa Dougherty
Dr. Lisa Dougherty, has been appointed interim President of Hudson County Community College (HCCC), effective June 9, 2026. Dr. Dougherty joined HCCC in 2016 as Dean of Enrollment and was promoted to Senior Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment in 2019. Prior to coming to HCCC, Dr. Dougherty was the National Director of Admissions and Training at Ross University School of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, and Executive Director of Admissions at DeVry University and Keller Graduate School of Management. She earned her Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Rowan University, Master of Human Resources Management degree from Keller Graduate School of Management, and Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Loyola University Maryland.
Dr. Susan BALLABINA
Dr. Susan Ballabina became the 28th president of Texas A&M University on May 11, 2026. She previously served as the A&M System’s executive vice chancellor and held senior leadership roles across both the university and the A&M System, including Chief of Staff to the president, Senior Vice President for Academic and Strategic Collaborations, and Deputy Vice Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer for Texas A&M AgriLife. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University, a master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a doctorate in public affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas.

The University of Arkansas – East Arkansas Community College (UA-EACC) has appointed Adam O’Neal as its next chancellor, effective July 1, 2026. O’Neal currently serves as vice chancellor for student services, a role he assumed after serving as dean of student services. With more than twenty years of experience in education, he has held leadership positions in both higher education and K–12. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at Liberty University and earned a master’s degree from Southern Arkansas University and a bachelor’s degree from Arkansas State University.
Christopher L. Augostini
Christopher L. Augostini, Emory University´s current executive vice president and chief operating officer, has been elected to serve as the 22nd president effective September 1 2026. Prior joining Emory, Augostini served for 17 years as senior vice president and chief operating officer at Georgetown University. Earlier in his career, he held senior government positions with the city and state of New York. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in public policy analysis from the State University of New York at Albany.
