LaVada R. Rice
Dr. LaVada R. Rice has been appointed Voorhees University’s vice-president of enrollment management on February 25, 2026. Dr. Rice joins Voorhees from Harris-Stowe State University (HSSU), a four-year historically Black university in St. Louis, Missouri, where she served as director of admissions. Prior to HSSU, she served as director of Metro St. Louis Extended Campuses at Webster University. Earlier, Dr. Rice has also served as Campus Director and Admissions Representative at Lindenwood University. Dr. Rice earned her doctorate of education in Higher Education Administration from Lindenwood University in 2023.
Robert Watling
Robert Watling was appointed the executive vice-president of finance and administration of the University of New Hampshire (UNH) on February 6, 2026. He is currently serving as the vice president for finance and administration and chief financial officer at the University of Dallas. He previously served as vice provost for academic resources at the University of North Texas and held senior finance and operations leadership positions at NC State University and Southern Methodist University. Robert Watling holds a bachelor´s degree from George Mason University and an MBA from Virginia Tech.
Beong-Soo Kim
Beong-Soo Kim, was named as the 13th president of the University of Southern California (USC) on February 4, 2026. He previously served at USC as senior vice president and general counsel from July 2020 to June 2025 and as interim president from July 2025 to February 2026 at the University of Southern California (USC). Prior to USC, Kim held senior roles at Kaiser Permanente, was a partner at an international law firm, and served in the U.S. Department of Justice. He earned a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and his law degree from Harvard Law School
James Anthony
James (Jim) Antony has been appointed provost and vice-president of academic affairs of the University of San Diego (USD), effective March 1, 2026. Antony joins USD from George Mason University where he has served as executive vice president and provost. Prior to his role at George Mason, Anthony also served as the dean of Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs at UC San Diego. Antony has held notable academic leadership roles at Harvard, Yale and the University of Washington. Antony received his BA in psychology, and his MA and PhD in higher education and organizational change, all from UCLA.
