Eduardo Peñalber

Eduardo Peñalber has been appointed the next president of Georgetown University, beginning his new role on July 1, 2026. Peñalver, who has led Seattle University since 2021, previously served as the dean of Cornell Law School and as a clerk to former U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens. Peñalver has taught law at Fordham Law School, the University of Chicago Law School, and Cornell Law School, and has also been a visiting professor at Harvard and Yale Law Schools. He studied philosophy and theology at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar and earned his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and law degree from Yale Law School. 

Jason S. Schupbach

Jason S. Schupbach has been named the 7^th president of State University of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), beginning his role on January 15, 2026. Mr. Schupbach currently serves as the dean of Drexel University's Westphal College of Media Arts and Design. Previous to this position he was Director of Design and Creative Placemaking Programs for the National Endowment for the Arts. Previously, Mr. Schupbach served Governor Patrick of Massachusetts as the Creative Economy Director. He has also worked for the Mayor of Chicago and New York City's Department of Cultural Affairs. Mr. Schupbach earned a Masters in City Planning/Urban Design Certificate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2003, and his B.S. in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1997.
