Bernie Sanders led the Democratic Party in yesterday’s West Virginia presidential primary.

According to AP, Sanders won 18 delegates yesterday. Hillary Clinton won 11. Clinton now has a combined total of 2,240 pledged delegates and superdelegates, and Sanders has a combined total of 1,472 pledged delegates and superdelegates.  The combined total number of delegates and superdelegates needed for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination is 2,383.

On the Republican Party’s side, likely Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump won 36 delegates in Nebraska and 31 delegates in West Virginia yesterday.  Trump now has a total of 1,135 delegates.  The number of delegates needed for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination is 1,237.

The next round of presidential primaries is scheduled to take place on May 17.
