ORLANDO, Fla. -- Morgan & Morgan is proud to announce their second annual scholarship for law students. Beginning on September 1, 2017, the national law firm will be accepting submissions for their "For the People" scholarship.

After the overwhelming success of last year's inaugural scholarship, the firm is once again accepting applications from law students for a $2,000 scholarship to be put towards tuition or other education expenses.

Law students can apply to the scholarship by submitting a 3-5 minute video or an 800-1000 word essay answering the following questions: "What does standing up for the 'little guy' mean to you? How will you stand up for the 'little guy' as an attorney?"

The scholarship will be awarded to the applicant who best demonstrates Morgan & Morgan's "For the People" values of protecting the people, not the powerful, in their submission.

The topic was inspired by Morgan & Morgan founder John Morgan's philosophy in practicing law, which he summed up in one recent tweet: "Do what is right, not what is easy, nor what is popular #believe."

By offering this scholarship to students pursuing a career in law, Morgan & Morgan hopes to give the next generation of attorneys the tools to thrive in their field and — most importantly — deliver justice to the people.

Applicants must be currently accepted or enrolled in an accredited law school in order to be eligible. To apply, applicants can email their video or essay submissions to scholarships@forthepeople.com. (For detailed instructions, please visit the firm's scholarship page.)

The deadline for submission is December 1st, 2017. The winner will be announced on December 31st, 2017.
