Latino Presiding Justice of a New York State Appellate Court
What: A celebration of the life and achievements of the Honorable Luis A. Gonzalez, Presiding Justice of the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court, First Judicial Department — the first Hispanic-American to hold that position. Hosted by The City University of New York, the Bronx Free Press and the Manhattan Times, the guest list currently includes former Governor David Paterson — who appointed Presiding Justice Gonzalez in 2009 — and representatives from the Black, Hispanic, Jewish and Asian-American bar associations and Lawyers’ Guilds that are also hosting the evening.
