Hispanics have set new records in both the number of people and the percentage. This is a critical time as the Democrats are vying to gain control of one or more chambers of Congress.

Hispanics Set New Records In Both Number Of People And Percentage
Eligible Hispanics voting in November’s midterm elections have reached a record high of more than 29 million. Making them 12.8 percent of all eligible voters. Hispanics have set new records in both the number of people and the percentage.
This is a critical time as the Democrats are vying to gain control of one or more chambers of Congress. According to an analysis done by The Pew Research Center the increase reflects the fact that Hispanics typically do not have a large turnout on Election Day compared to white and black voters. Results conclude that there will be more Hispanics voting in November, but the numbers could be even higher.
Hispanics could impact the tight Senate races particularly in Arizona, California, Florida, New York and Texas, as well as other House districts where Hispanics have a larger population in the electorate. Due to escalating immigration-related issues Hispanic voters have become more important than ever. However, neither Republicans nor Democrats have gained a monopoly on Hispanic voters.
