The International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP), has announced that Conventus Corporation will be offering an undergraduate scholarship award to assist talented women and underrepresented minorities advance their cybersecurity education. The award provides $5,000 for selected students over 2 years in their undergraduate degree programs.
NORTH HALEDON, N.J. -- The International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP), has announced that Conventus Corporation will be offering an undergraduate scholarship award to assist talented women and underrepresented minorities advance their cybersecurity education. The award provides $5,000 for selected students over 2 years in their undergraduate degree programs.
Conventus’ first scholarship recipient, Blessing Leonard, recently graduated from The University of Baltimore with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Information Technology. “This incredible scholarship enabled me to graduate early,” said Ms. Leonard. “It also ensures that I am graduating with an in-depth knowledge of the cybersecurity industry to join in the fight against cyber-attacks, and to encourage other females interested in cybersecurity. I am so thankful for this great opportunity!”
To apply applicants must be:
~ Female, Veteran, African-American, Hispanic American, Native American, Asian Pacific, Asian Indian or sub-Saharan African
~ U.S. citizens or permanent residents
~ Active as a volunteer on one or more ICMCP Committees

The scholarship award will be presented at ICMCP’s 3rd Annual National Conference of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals in Atlanta, Georgia on September 17-19.
