Kean Online now to offer all degree levels
UNION, N.J. – The Middle States Commission on Higher Education has fully approved Kean University to offer Distance Learning programs. Kean Online will now be able to offer degrees at all academic levels – bachelor’s, master’s and post-master’s award/certificate/diploma programs.
Launched in the summer of 2015, Kean Online currently offers three undergraduate degree completion programs, Criminal Justice, Business Management and Global Business, and one graduate degree program, Master of Arts in Educational Administration. Kean Online is planning to launch two additional graduate degree programs in Fall 2016, Master of Science in Computer Information Systems and, pending final state approval, Master of Arts in Hindi and Urdu Pedagogy.
“This is a game changer for us,” said Corey S. Vigdor, director of Kean Online. “We can now develop a variety of online courses to reach out to potential new students who are looking for the programs we offer and the world-class education that Kean University provides.”
Kean Online offers affordability, ease of access and Kean’s outstanding faculty, all backed by 160 years of higher education experience. Kean, founded in 1855, has created a student-centered program offering flexibility and convenience. Support systems include tutoring and academic advisement as well as career services for internship placement, career preparation and job seeker resources.
“The Middle States Commission’s latest action will introduce a whole new constituency to Kean University, affording students the opportunity to finish a degree, fit a college education into their busy daily lives and fulfill their educational and career goals,” said Sophia Howlett, associate vice president for academic affairs at Kean University.
