Liberty Hall Museum is throwing a Kentucky Derby-themed fundraising party on May 7

Financing April 2016 PREMIUM

UNION, N.J. — Liberty Hall at Kean University invites guests to come eat southern fare and drink mint juleps while wearing their derby best at their exciting spring fundraiser on Saturday, May 7, featuring a Kentucky Derby theme. Proceeds will benefit historic preservation projects at Liberty Hall, home of William Livingston, the first elected Governor of New Jersey (1776-1790) and support the community focused programs for children and adults that take place there.

“We are excited to host our Kentucky Derby-themed fundraiser!” said Bill Schroh, Jr., Director of Museum Operations for Liberty Hall. "Guests will be able to watch the most exciting two minutes in sports from their seats on the beautiful historic grounds of Liberty Hall."

Guests will enjoy an array of delicious southern fare style hors-d'oeuvres and cocktails as they prepare to watch the 142nd Kentucky Derby race while it airs live. There will also be fun lawn games such as horse shoes and croquet, a silent auction and of course, a contest for the best hat.

"So ladies, don’t forget your big hats, gents, your bow ties, to pick your favorite horse and win a prize!" added Schroh.

Admission is $125 per person. Reservations are required by April 29. Due to popularity, it is strongly encouraged to make your reservations early by phone at (908) 527-0400 or online at www.kean.edu/libertyhall/events.

Silent auction donation items and sponsorship opportunities for the event are still available. This is a great opportunity to form a unique partnership with Liberty Hall at Kean University. For inquiries, please contact Lauri Masur at CDK events at larui@cdkevents.com or (973) 693-3783.
