Michelle Coach
Dr. Michelle A. Coach has been appointed president of State University of New York Morrisville, effective August 19th. Dr. Michelle Coach previously served as dean of the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at Connecticut State Community College. She also served as campus chief executive officer of CT State Asnuntuck. Her prior roles also include interim dean of Academic Affairs, Department chair, Science coordinator, faculty member, and Phi Theta Kappa New England Regional Coordinator. Dr. Coach holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Elementary Education Certification from Westfield State University in Massachusetts, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Master of Science in Biology from the University of St. Joseph in Connecticut, and a Doctor of Education in Leadership in Higher Education from Northcentral University in California.
James Fisher
Dr. James ¨JD¨ Fisher has been appointed to serve as interim president of PennWest University, effective August 9. Dr. Fisher previously served as interim vice chancellor and chief academic officer in the PASSHE Chancellor’s Office. Before joining the Chancellor's Office, Fisher served as PennWest's interim provost and vice president for academic affairs, senior associate provost for academic administration and interim dean of the College of Social Sciences and Human Services. Fisher earned bachelor's degrees in political science and English from Edinboro University, a doctorate in political science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a law degree from William & Mary Law School.
Cybele Raver
C. Cybele Raver has been appointed the University of Michigan´s 17th president, taking office on December 1. Raver currently serves as provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at Vanderbilt University, a role she has held since 2021. Before joining Vanderbilt, she served as deputy provost at New York University and held faculty roles at the University of Chicago and Cornell University. She holds a Ph.D. in developmental psychology from Yale University. She received her bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.
