2015 ACCT Regional Awards Recipients Announced; Regional Awardees Compete for National-level Recognition

WASHINGTON-The Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT) is pleased to announce the recipients of its annual Regional Awards for community college trustees, equity programs, chief executive officers, faculty members, and  professional board staff members. The 2015 ACCT Awards are sponsored by Economic Modeling Specialists (EMSI) andEdFinancial Services.

ACCT's Regional Awards recognize the tremendous contributions made by trustees, equity programs, chief executive officers, faculty members, and professional board staff.  

"As the importance of community colleges has grown, it is more important than ever to recognize the outstanding leadership of those individuals for their contributions to the sector," said ACCT Chair and Lansing Community College Trustee Robin M. Smith. 

"ACCT's regional awards represent the very best our colleges have to offer," said ACCT President and CEO J. Noah Brown.

ACCT congratulates the 2015 ACCT Regional ACCT Award recipients for their outstanding work.  

Those recognized at the regional level will contend for the national-level recognition of the following ACCT Association Awards: 2015 M. Dale Ensign Trustee Leadership Award; 2015 Charles Kennedy Equity Award; 2015 Marie Y. Martin Chief Executive Award; 2015 William H. Meardy Faculty Member Award; and 2015 ACCT Professional Board Staff Member Award.  

One outstanding award recipient in each category will be announced during the Annual ACCT Awards Gala on Friday, October 16 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego, in conjunction with the 46th Annual ACCT Leadership Congress.
