University to host evening book signing open to the public

of “Bullied from Terror to Triumph: My Survival Story” 

WHAT:          11 a.m. In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Office of the President will present a roundtable discussion with Ms. Taylor centered on self-empowerment and building the capacity for empathyThis discussion, held in the Julia Chester Emery Gymnasium, will be part of the University’s Lyceum Leadership Speaker Series. Mr. Birchie Warren, Director of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), will moderate the discussion.    

5:45 p.m. Held in The Prezell R. Robinson Library, Saint Augustine’s University will host a book signing for Tensie J. Taylor.

Both events are open to the public.

RALEIGH, NC - On Thursday, March 30 at 11 a.m., Saint Augustine’s University’s Lyceum Leadership Speaker Series will feature Tensie J. Taylor, noted educator, speaker and Amazon bestselling author of Bullied from Terror to Triumph: My Survival Story. Ms. Taylor will speak on her personal journey toward self-empowerment as well as give strategies for overcoming bullying and building one’s capacity for empathy.

Presented by the Office of the President, the University’s lyceums are a forum through which local and national thought leaders, business visionaries, cultural and political luminaries, and noted alumni enlighten, inform and inspire the Saint Augustine’s University community. The March 2017 lyceum is sponsored by the Carolina Condrey Group of Northwestern Mutual and is part of the University’s yearlong celebration of its 150th anniversary.

On Thursday, March 30 from 5:45 p.mto 7:00 p.m., a book signing with Ms. Taylor will be sponsored by SAU’s School of Business, Management and Technology and the Carolina Condrey Group of Northwestern Mutual. The book event will take place in The Prezell R. Robinson Library on campus.

Both events are open to the public.
