William Paterson University has just made SAT and ACT optional for Fall 2019 Freshman Applicants. While the most of 2019-2020 student applicants are no longer required to submit SAT or ACT scores there are some exceptions. The University joins more than 1,000 colleges and universities that have adopted the test-optional policy or have eliminated them entirely.

University Joins More Than 1,000 Schools To Adopt Test-Optional Policy

William Paterson University has just made SAT and ACT optional for Fall 2019 Freshman Applicants. While the most of 2019-2020 student applicants are no longer required to submit SAT or ACT scores there are some exceptions.

If students are applying to any WPU nursing and communication disorders degree programs, being considered for merit-based scholarships, and those selected for the Honors College are excluded from the new policy. Additionally, applicants may submit supporting documentation highlighting non-academic achievements.

The University joins more than 1,000 colleges and universities that have adopted the test-optional policy or have eliminated them entirely.
