The State University of New York at Cobleskill annouces a new agreement with the State University of New York Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) Master of Landscape Architecture program. The purpose of the agreement is to facilitate the easy transition of qualified SUNY Cobleskill Bachelor of Technology in Landscape Contracting degree recipients into SUNY ESF’s Master of Landscape Architecture degree program.
SUNY ESF’s Master of Landscape Architecture program is a prestigious and well established program that is designed to educate students to contribute in varied ways to society and the wise stewardship of land and landscape with an emphasis on sustainability, community design planning, environmental and ecological planning, green infrastructure design and preservation of cultural landscape. ESF admits less than 20 students annually into the program and provides excellent professional education, development and mentorship to prepare graduates for professional practice.
Lisa Lopez, Associate Director of the Student Success Center, says: “We are very excited to add this newly established graduate agreement with ESF to our growing roster of guaranteed admission agreements, allowing our top students entry to this exceptional program.”
SUNY Cobleskill Bachelor students will be accepted if they meet the parameters of the agreement including a strong GPA, competitive Graduate Record Exam (GRE) score and completion of all prerequisite courses.
Landscape architecture requires rigorous professional training and licensure. The SUNY Cobleskill Landscape Contracting BT provides a foundation in horticulture, business and landscape design, science and sustainability. ESF’s program fosters the capacity to think across disciplines, develop integrated design concepts and research acumen.
