Hispanic Enrollment And Degrees Granted

Community colleges are an essential building block in the educational journey of many Hispanic students. In the 2018-19 academic year, the 25 community colleges with the highest number of Hispanics enrolled a total of 519412 Hispanic students. In 16 of these colleges, Hispanics constitute more than half of the total student body.  With regard to the total number of Associate Degrees granted to Hispanic students, El Paso Community College granted the highest number, followed by the Lone Star College System. Other prominent community colleges in Texas, California, New Mexico, Arizona, Virginia and New York make up the list of those with the highest number of Hispanic enrollments and degrees granted. Hispanic Outlook salutes these institutions for their dedicated service to education, and for providing a springboard to the future for hundreds of thousands of Hispanic students.
