(October 30, 2015 – Cypress, CA) As part of Trident University International’s (Trident) continuous improvement to the academic experience for students, starting in Fall 2015 students working towards a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) will be able to earn a concentration in Entrepreneurship or International Business.

Extensive research and a rigorous assessment of academic and professional trends led to the addition of these two new concentrations, especially as the importance of innovation continues to grow from companies both large and small. Recent research indicates that when hiring new graduates, employers are looking for those who offer skills in innovation.  

The continued globalization of the businesses world supports a concentration in international business, as a significant majority of employers place a great deal of importance on intercultural skills and global market awareness.  

“Future business leaders who succeed will be known for their entrepreneurial mindset and their ability to function effectively in interconnected global markets,” said Dr. Stefan Hanson, Program Director of the Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration program, Glenn R. Jones School of Business.

The Entrepreneurship concentration emphasizes business administration in relation to small business ownership. Students gain insight through key courses, such as Entrepreneurial Finance, Leadership and Change, and Introduction to Project Management.

The concentration in International Business looks at the business world through a global lens. Students build their expertise through courses like International Finance, International Marketing, and Global Human Resource Management.

Other concentrations currently available to BSBA students are Contract Management, Criminal Justice Administration, Finance, General Business, General Management, Human Resource Management, Information Technology Management, Leadership, Logistics, Management/Leadership, Project Management, and Safety Management.
