University students to face conduct board after lockdown
JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) — A group of Arkansas State University students will review the actions of three students whose film project resulted in a campus lockdown.
KAIT-TV (http://bit.ly/247tblD ) reports that police responded to reports of three men wearing all black and carrying pistols on campus around 1:45 p.m. Sunday.
Officers locked down the campus and cleared all buildings in the area. They later learned the students were filming a video near the student union.
The university said no weapons were present.
University spokesman Bill Smith says the incident has been referred to the Student Conduct Board. The panel will decide what, if any, punishment the students should face for their actions.
