Sheriff Official: 3 Injured In Maryland High School Shooting [Education News]

A shooting at a Maryland high school Tuesday wounded three people, including the shooter, a sheriff's spokeswoman said. Authorities said the situation was "contained" as deputies and federal agents converged on the crime scene. St. Mary's County Sheriff spokeswoman Cpl. Julie Yingling said three people hurt, including the shooter. All three were taken to hospitals and none were killed.

Puerto Rico was hit by Hurricane Maria exactly six months ago, and the U.S. territory is still struggling to recover from the strongest storm to hit the island in nearly a century. Crews already have restored water to 99 percent of clients and power to 93 percent of customers, but more than 100,000 of them still remain in the dark and there are frequent power outages.
