CHICAGO -- kCura, developers of the e-discovery software Relativity, invites tomorrow's legal professionals to apply for the 2017 Relativity Fest Student Scholarship, which provides students interested in legal technology the opportunity to attend Relativity Fest, one of the largest and most influential user conferences in the industry.

Both undergraduate and graduate students from law schools and paralegal programs approved by the ABA are eligible to apply for the scholarship by August 18, 2017. The award covers transportation, lodging, meals and event registration. To be considered for a scholarship, potential applicants must secure a recommendation from a litigation or e-discovery professor and complete an application that asks applicants their thoughts on the state of e-discovery and how big data impacts the future of law.

The Relativity Fest Student Scholarship was first offered in 2016 as part of the Relativity Academic Partner Program, an educational initiative that provides law schools and paralegal programs with free access to hands-on training in Relativity and helps prepare students for the future of litigation and investigations. As part of the program, universities and program instructors have access to Relativity and additional educational and information resources, including in-person training and the Relativity Community site.

"Relativity Fest provides e-discovery professionals with an outstanding chance to meet, network, and engage on the issues affecting our profession and industry," said David Horrigan, e-discovery counsel at kCura. "Relativity Fest Scholarship winners are invited into that conversation, giving them an important advantage as they begin their careers in e-discovery."

The scholarship is open to anyone who is 21 years of age by October 21, 2017. Students are encouraged to apply early.

Relativity Fest, will take place in Chicago on October 22-25, 2017. The conference is designed to educate and connect the e-discovery community through engaging panel discussions, hands-on labs, breakout sessions and more.
