Westchester Community College has just received the largest federal grant in their history.
The $2.7 million grant is designed to transform student experience. Over the next five years, the funds will be awarded to help students succeed academically, find their future careers and continue on the education path.
This grant is provided by the U.S. Department of Education’s Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions (DHSI) Program. The grant is funding the Caminos al Exito (Pathways to Success) Program that empowers the faculty and staff in supporting students that want to continue their education by transferring to a four-year institution or who want to start their careers after graduation.

Additionally the grant is adding to already established initiatives brought out by the faculty, staff and administrators. The grants allow Westchester to keep up with the needs of the 21st Century workforce.
