He has a degree in History from the University of Havana and a doctorate in Latin American Literature from New York University (NYU), where he currently works. as a teacher in the department of Spanish and Portuguese. Anna Kazumi Stahl is the Site Director of NYU Buenos Aires and is Associated Faculty of the Gallatin School. Her PhD in Comparative Literature (UC Berkeley) focused on minority voices. Dr. Stahl is a published fiction writer in Spanish and a Board Member of the Fulbright Commission in Argentina.

Madeline Pumariega is the first female president of Miami Dade College (MDC), one of the nation’s largest educational institutions. Prior to becoming MDC’s president, Pumariega was appointed the first female and Hispanic chancellor of the Florida College System (FCS). In 2019, Pumariega became the executive vice president and provost of Tallahassee Community College. In her current role, Pumariega has prioritized working with business partners to identify the skills needed by key industries and tailoring higher education programs to match those needs.

A former professor and department chair, she’s earned accolades including the Piper Nominee and Roueche Award. As PI and Co-PI on major STEM grants, she champions student-centered learning and the advancement of academic and public service initiatives.

Dr. Felicia Castro-Villarreal is a Professor and Program Director for the Masters in School Psychology program at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her research focuses on culturally responsive practices and consultation. She is a Co-PI on several federally funded projects designed to fund graduate student training and address workforce shortages.
