Bonne August

Dr. Bonne August has served as provost and vice president for academic affairs at New York City College of Technology since September 2006, having served as acting provost since February 2005. Previously, she was chair of the English Department and professor of English at Kingsborough Community College/CUNY, where she had been on the faculty since 1982. Her professional interests and publications include work on poetry, women writers, writing assessment, portfolio assessment, and faculty development. A member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Departments of English from 2006-2008, Dr. August served as its president for 2008.
