Qiana Williams has been selected as Oregon Health & Science University’s first executive vice president and chief people officer.

Qiana Williams has been selected as Oregon Health & Science University’s first executive vice president and chief people officer. Williams comes from OhioHealth, where she served as chief diversity, inclusion and culture officer before assuming the role of vice president, total rewards and HR operations. Ms. Williams received her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, an M.Ed. in Human Resource Development from Xavier University, and an Ed.S. in Workforce Education from the University of Georgia.

Katherine S. Newman
Katherine S. Newman has been appointed University of California’s provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. Newman is currently the system chancellor for Academic Programs and the senior vice president for Economic Development in the Office of the President of the University of Massachusetts. She also holds the Torrey Little Chair of Sociology at UMass Amherst, where she previously served as Provost. Newman earned a B.A. degree in Philosophy and Sociology from UC San Diego, then went on to earn a Ph.D. in Anthropology at UC Berkeley.
Paul Ellinger
Paul Ellinger has been named vice president/chief financial officer and comptroller of the University of Illinois System. Paul has served in this role on an interim basis since July 2021. Paul continues to hold the rank of professor at the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). He is a three-degree graduate of UIUC, earning a doctorate in finance, a master’s degree in agricultural economics and a bachelor’s degree in agricultural mechanization.
Ray Rodrigues
Mr. Ray Rodrigues has been appointed chancellor of the State University System of Florida. Mr. Rodrigues has 16 years of university experience and 10 years in the Florida House and Senate. Rodrigues is currently employed as director of interagency partnerships at Florida Gulf Coast University. As a first-generation college student, Rodrigues has held jobs at the university for the past 16 years. He served as the school’s director of community relations and was a business manager for the university’s College of Arts and Sciences.
Brooke Weisenbeck
Brooke Weisenbeck has been named vice president for presidential development initiatives at the University of Illinois Foundation (UIF). Weisenbeck has recently served as the assistant dean of advancement for the College of Natural Sciences at UMass Amherst. Prior to her time at UMass, Brooke served in international advancement roles at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and at organizations including the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University, the Steppenwolf Theater Company, and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Brooke holds both a bachelor’s degree and a MPA from DePaul University and earned her CMI in business from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Robert W. Davis
The University of Scranton has appointed Robert W. Davis Jr., Ed.D., vice president for University advancement. Dr. Davis previously served as the vice president for student life at Scranton. A graduate of The University of Scranton, Dr. Davis joined the staff at Scranton in 2006 and has served in several capacities, including as area coordinator and assistant director for housing operations in the Office of Residence Life. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees at Scranton Preparatory School. Dr. Davis earned his bachelor’s, master’s and MBA degrees from The University of Scranton and his doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania.
