The San Diego Community College District has extended their tuition-free program, the San Diego Promise, to include all recent high school graduates.
Graduates that are first-time, full-time students will be eligible to receive two free years of college at San Diego City, San Diego Mesa and/or San Diego Miramar colleges. A possible 3,500 or more students in the 2018-19 academic year can benefit from the Promise.
In order to qualify these students must be a California resident or attended a California high school for three years, earned a high school diploma in June 2017 or later, be a first-time college student enrolled with at least 12 credits while maintaining a 2.0 GPA, and completed a 2018-19 FAFSA or Dream Act application.
