President Trump has limited those seeking asylum by circumventing laws that state that anyone is eligible for asylum regardless of how the individual enters the country. Lawyers have subpoenaed Trump Productions LLC and MGM Holdings Inc. to obtain unaired tapes of the reality TV show “The Apprentice” as part of their case against President Donald Trump’s ending of special protections that shield some immigrants from deportation. Specifically, the lawyers are seeking footage where Trump "uses racial and/or ethnic slurs" or "makes remarks concerning race, nationality and/or ethnic background."
