New York City’s Child Care Initiative will help 1,461 CUNY students with kids. The City Council’s $600,000 investment is providing more than 1,500 infants and toddlers with daycare and tutoring programs. It was created to help those students juggle being both a parent and a student.

Mexican Experts: Nearly 1,000-Year-Old Maya Text Authentic

An ancient Maya pictographic text has been authenticated as the oldest know pre-Hispanic document. The calendar-style text, which will now be known as the Mexico Maya Codex, contains observations and predictions related to the astral movement of the planet Venus.

Johns Hopkins University is giving financial aid to graduate student Daniela Gaona. Gaona is a part of the DACA program, however, a spokesperson for the university said the student being a part of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program is not a factor in such decisions.
