San Antonio College President Assumes Presidency Of National Organization To Advance Latinx Leaders In Higher Education

Dr. Robert Vela, president of San Antonio College, recently began a two-year term as president of the National Community Colleges Hispanic Council (NCCHC), an affiliate council of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), that works to advance Latinx leaders in higher education. Dr. Vela assumes the role of president after previously serving two years as president-elect, two years as secretary and another two years as a board member.

U Of Arkansas Prioritizes Faculty Raises

The chancellor of the University of Arkansas has stated that faculty raises have been a priority at the school. According to the chancellor, full professors at the University earn on average nearly $128,950 over a 12-month period that ended in June.
