Bellhops, a tech-enabled moving service, announced that it will give away one $10,000 college scholarship. The company, which began as a college-based dorm-moving service in 2011, grew into a full-service moving provider powered by an online app. However, Bellhops' cofounder and president, Cam Doody, says the company hasn't forgotten where it started.

VCU Awarded $2.7M Grant For Heart Failure Therapy Clinical Trial [Education News]

The National Institutes of Health has awarded a $2.7 million grant to Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Pharmacy and Medicine. The grant will fund a clinical trial to evaluate the use of anti-inflammatory therapy to treat heart failure. Further investigation on reducing inflammation in heart muscle will be conducted by researchers.

Parents will be notified about the account set up for them.

Mississippi public schools are looking for more than 2,100 employees before school starts in August. The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports that administrators across the state report trouble finding enough teachers, nurses, bus drivers and other employees. The National Education Association found that the average starting salary for teachers in Mississippi was $34,780 in 2016-2017.

The University of Memphis has launched a FedEx IT Command Center on Campus. This is the third step of a broader collaboration between the University and FedEx. The Command Center is part of their initiative to grow the regional data analytics workforce. It will be a student-run IT Command Center open seven days a week.
