Hispanic Community August 2018 First Of Its Kind Mural In Mexico Inaugurated As Part Of Social Impact Program Three hundred hillside homes in Monterrey, Mexico, are the site of a first of its kind mural that is part of the Comex por un México Bien Hecho (“Comex for a Well Done Mexico”) social impact program. The project, which spanned the four months, took more than 300 volunteers and 1,500 residents of Monterrey’s Campana-Altamira neighborhood.
Health Care August 2018 U. Of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State Ban Medical Marijuana For two schools in Oklahoma, marijuana remains banned on campus. This ban includes medical marijuana usage at both The University of Oklahoma (OU) and Oklahoma State University (OSU). The schools’ joint news release explains that they are legally required to comply with mandates from the Federal Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act.
Legal August 2018 US Judge Halts Deportation, Threatens Sessions With Contempt A federal judge on Thursday halted a deportation in progress and threatened to hold Attorney General Jeff Sessions in contempt if the mother and daughter weren't returned to the U.S. U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan of Washington learned in court that the two plaintiffs in a lawsuit before him were being removed from the United States.
