This award recognizes organizations that provide strong support to the nonprofit over a number of years. Ashford University has partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego for more than eight years. Ashford University contributes annually to this branch through the nonprofit's Life Changers Club, a way for businesses or individuals to support or "adopt" a single club site location.
Financing February 2018 UW-Madison: Free Tuition For Families Making Less Than $56K [Education News] New in-state University of Wisconsin-Madison students from low-to-moderate income families will get free tuition and fees for four years under a new program, university officials announced Thursday. The initiative, dubbed "Bucky's Tuition Promise," guarantees free tuition and no fees for eight semesters for incoming freshmen and four semesters for transfer students who come from homes making no more than $56,000 annually. The program is set to begin this fall.

What To Know About The Overnight Budget Shutdown [Beyond Education] While you were sleeping, Congress was shutting down the government — and then reopening it — in a familiar display of dysfunction. It's the second time this year lawmakers have let funding lapse while they staged standoffs intended to draw attention to their causes. After little action Thursday, a single senator dug in, forcing the Senate to stall and miss the midnight deadline. Lawmakers then had to rush to turn the lights back on before federal employees were due to report to work.
