Arts and Media November 2016 First Ever Murder Mystery at Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University For the first time, Liberty Hall at Kean University will host a Murder Mystery at the Museum in the 244-year-old historic mansion of New Jersey’s first elected Governor, William Livingston. Guests will be transported to 1932 when they arrive at the beautifully decorated Liberty Hall for a dinner party. However, murder is on the menu, and it is up to the dinner guests to solve this whodunit.
Financing November 2016 UMass-Amherst Capital Campaign Surpasses Goal, Raises $379M The University of Massachusetts Amherst has raised $379 million in the largest capital campaign in state public higher education history, easily surpassing the $300 million goal. The state's flagship campus announced Monday that more than 103,000 donors contributed to the UMass Rising Campaign, which brought in the five largest gifts in university history. The campaign launched in 2010 officially closed June 30, a year ahead of schedule. About $108 million was raised for the university's permanent endowment and another $164 million was raised for academic and research programs, $67 million more than the goal. The campaign helped establish more than 24 new permanent professorships. Some of the money will be used for student scholarships and infrastructure.
Global November 2016 Indiana University Students Hold Unity Rally after Election Students at Indiana University have gathered for a unity rally following the election. A crowd turned out Thursday night at Showalter Fountain on the school's Bloomington campus to celebrate values of dignity and respect. Participants held signs including ones reading "Sanctuary Campus NOW," with some students calling on the school to stand in the way of potential deportations. President-elect Donald Trump launched his candidacy on an anti-immigrant sentiment and has vowed to repeal a key Obama administration program that shields hundreds of thousands of people from deportation. His election brought fear of deportations.
Health Care November 2016 13 Cases of Mumps Now Confirmed at SUNY New Paltz Thirteen cases of mumps have now been confirmed at the State University of New York at New Paltz. The Daily Freeman of Kingston (http://bit.ly/2fHXZGJ ) reports that the 13 cases include one athletics staff member at the Hudson Valley school and several swim team members. County health officials learned of the outbreak a month ago.

The new alliance connects Univision with its young and bilingual audience and provides CSUF students with mentors, internship opportunities and access to high-impact educational experiences with seasoned bilingual journalists in both broadcast and digital news production.
