Students who transfer to the University of New Hampshire from the state’s community college system can now qualify for the school’s tuition-free program. The program guarantees that New Hampshire students who receive federal Pell grants will not have to pay tuition to go to UNH.

WVU Teams With Another School For Shared-Credit Program

Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania and West Virginia University's School of Public Health are teaming up to offer students a shared-credit degree program. Under this new program, students can now earn a bachelor of arts in mathematics and a master of science in biostatistics in five years.

U Of New Hampshire Creates 4-H Scholarships

Starting in the fall of 2019, students at the University of New Hampshire will receive $500 scholarships for each year of active participation in 4-H programs. Under this new scholarship program students can earn a maximum annual scholarship of $5,000.

Featured panelists include two students Taylor Morales and Macey Wonacott who lived through the shooting at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School, Tom Campbell, Director of the Newtown Foundation and The Newtown Action Alliance; Brett Sabo, the New Jersey State Chapter Leader of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America; and Lieutenant George Guzman, of the Haledon Police Department.

Pittsburgh Synagogue Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

Robert Bowers, the suspect in the synagogue shooting where 11 people were killed, has pled not guilty to federal charges which could lead to the death penalty. This comes one day after a 44-count indictment was issued by a grand jury. Counts include hate crimes, murder and obstructing the practice of religion.

The migrant caravan making its way across Mexico to the U.S. border contains hundreds of children of all ages who are at risk of dehydration and illness. As the caravan continues its journey, these children must walk for long hours in the sun and rely on food and clothing donations.
