Person Detained In The Mail-Bomb Case

A man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with the mail-bomb scare. Federal authorities made the arrest in Florida. Currently, the scare involves 12 suspicious packages that were mail to critics of President Donald Trump, including former President Barack Obama, former Vice President Joe Biden and Trump’s opponent in the presidential election Hillary Clinton.

Fear, sickness and police harassment are chipping away at the migrant caravan, which resumed its journey today towards the U.S.-Mexico border. The group of 4,000 to 5,000 migrants includes children and toddlers in strollers. The trek ahead of them is more than 1,000 miles before they reach the border.

More Packages Similar To Pipe Bombs Seized

Packages addressed to former Vice President Joe Biden and to actor Robert De Niro have been intercepted. Investigators have said these packages were similar to the pipe bombs that were sent to CNN, Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama.

President Trump is continuing to tweet about the migrant caravan that is currently traveling toward the U.S.-Mexico border. The president has denied that he is using the migrant caravan to stoke fear. He has also acknowledged that there is “no proof” of his claim that the group of migrants includes people of Middle Eastern descent.

In Oregon, A Community Responds To Imprisonment Of Migrants

Approximately 1,600 immigrants who have been apprehended along the U.S.-Mexico border, were then transferred to federal prisons in five states after President Trump's "zero tolerance" policy left the usual facilities short on space. An ad hoc group of volunteers, including retirees, recent college graduates, lawyers and clergy, are helping migrants being detained in Oregon.
