New Mexico Higher Education Department announced plan to standardize credits for first-year college students who pass high school Advanced Placement exams. The University of Connecticut is asking for $79 million more from the state to cover labor expenses and capital improvements. The Connecticut Post reported Wednesday the university Board of Trustees has approved a request from the chief financial officer for $234.3 million for the 2019-20 fiscal year, and $269.7 million in the 2020-21 fiscal year.

DCCCD Students Can Now Earn International Honors Certificate At Tuition Rate [Education News]

Students can now earn an International Honors Certificate at the seven Dallas Community Colleges. If students have completed at least 12 credit hours from one of the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD) schools, they can obtain the certificate at the DCCCD tuition rate.
