Pace University Expands On Work With New York City Department Of Education And The Billion Oyster Project [On A Positive Note Beyond Education]

President Donald Trump signed a $1.3 trillion spending measure Friday, just hours after declaring he was considering a veto. Trump said he was "very disappointed" in the package, in part because it did not fully fund his plans for a border wall with Mexico and did not address some 700,000 "Dreamer" immigrants who are now protected from deportation under a program that he has moved to eliminate.

Maryland School Shooting Victim Has Died [Education News]

A teenage girl who was shot when a classmate opened fire inside their Maryland high school has died, authorities said Friday. The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office said Jaelynn Willey died at 11:34 p.m. Thursday. Earlier that night, her family said she would be taken off life support at the University of Maryland Prince George's Hospital Center.

Rick Scott ordering eight highway patrol troopers to help secure the grounds. The Jacksonville State University president says the school will be closed until April 2 as officials assess the damage of Monday's tornado. Standing in front of a roofless freshman dorm at a Wednesday news conference and surrounded by downed trees and power lines, university president John Beehler said the school will come back "stronger than we were before, more beautiful than we were before."

In the latest school shooting in America, the gunfire was over and done with in less than a minute. This time, the shooter, a 17-year-old student, was killed. Authorities said a 16-year-old girl who had some type of relationship with the shooter was critically injured, and a 14-year-old boy also was wounded.

The Latest: Mayor Says Austin Bombing Suspect Lived Nearby

The mayor of the suspected Austin bomber's hometown says the suspect lived only two blocks away from him in a part of the city known as Old Town. Pflugerville Mayor Victor Gonzales told The Associated Press on Wednesday that police had surveillance on the home overnight Tuesday, though he said he didn't personally know the family.
