Financing June 2018 University of Nebraska Wins $92M Grant From US Military [Education News] The University of Nebraska has won a $92 million grant from the U.S. military. Officials said Wednesday that five-year grant is the biggest research grant in the university system's history and is an affirmation of the work already done by the university system's National Strategic Research Institute.

Legal June 2018 ACLU Sues Over Plans For Citizenship Question On 2020 Census [Beyond Education] Civil rights lawyers sued the U.S. Commerce Department on Wednesday to try to stop plans to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census. The Manhattan federal court lawsuit on behalf of immigrants' rights groups says racial animus was behind a recent announcement that the census will include a citizenship question for the first time since 1950.
