Comfort Dog Helps Wisconsin Students Read

Students at Beloit Memorial High School in Wisconsin have improved in their reading because of their interaction with a golden retriever comfort dog named Mary. This special dog is from the K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry, which is offered through St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Janesville.

Rutgers To Offer Master’s Degree Program In Forensic Science

Rutgers University-Camden will start offering a master’s degree program in forensic science in the fall of 2019. They are the first institution of higher education in New Jersey to offer the forensic science MSFS program. The new program will cover theory, concepts and the practical uses of biology, chemistry and biochemistry.

U Of Texas Receives $3M Gift

The University of Texas Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management has received a $3 million gift from North Texas real estate luminaires Donna and Herb Weitzman. The gift will create the Herbert D. Weitzman Institute for Real Estate. Scholarships will be available for eligible undergraduate finance and administration students with a concentration on real estate.

Lawyers Seek 'Apprentice' Tapes In Trump Immigration Suit

Lawyers have subpoenaed Trump Productions LLC and MGM Holdings Inc. to obtain unaired tapes of the reality TV show “The Apprentice” as part of their case against President Donald Trump’s ending of special protections that shield some immigrants from deportation. Specifically, the lawyers are seeking footage where Trump "uses racial and/or ethnic slurs" or "makes remarks concerning race, nationality and/or ethnic background."
